Accelerated Reader, or "AR", is a computer software program
designed to motivate and monitor reading practice. It works for students
of all abilities and age levels, and encourages students to read from
a variety of quality children's books. The program's reports give teachers
and students immediate feedback about individual reading progress and
provide reinforcement in a way that is both motivational and fun.
AR books are identified by a color-coded label on the spine in the KES library.
